The Network Assembly has been formally established and held its inaugural sitting today, electing a Presiding Officer, confirming its Standing Orders and establishing five standing committees. Its official website launches at assembly.gov.vin.

The Assembly's official website carries the Official Record of the five sessions of the Preparatory Convention and of today's inaugural sitting, the Standing Orders, the Register of Measures and guidance on petitions and written questions.
- Network Assembly Publishes Sitting Calendar and Public Gallery Arrangements
The Assembly will sit for seven sitting weeks, each of three days, between 15 September and 10 December 2026. The public gallery of 120 seats is open on every sitting day; tickets are requested by email, with 40 seats held for same-day admission.
- Five Measures Introduced at Inaugural Sitting as Register of Measures Opens
The Assembly (Procedure) Measure passed all its stages at the inaugural sitting and has been certified as Measure 1 of 2026. Four further measures received their first reading and stand referred to committees, which report by 4 October.
About the Assembly
The Network Assembly of the Velocity Interoperability Network is the deliberative body of the Velocity Interoperability Network. It considers and passes the measures that become Network law, examines the conduct of departments and network services, and hears petitions from the staff of member organisations and from citizens.
Its 60 delegates are elected by the 312 member organisations of the Network in twelve member constituencies. A further 24 seats are reserved for citizen delegates and will be filled after the first citizens' election.

A Presiding Officer and two Deputy Presiding Officers were elected, five standing committees were established and five measures received their first reading.
Forthcoming
First regular sitting week and the citizens' election
The Assembly sits from Tuesday 15 September 2026. The 24 citizen seats will be filled following the first citizens' election, expected in the first quarter of 2027.
